The government of jammu and kashmir has introduced Integrated sheep development scheme to help the farmers to increase their income through sheep and goat farming. The integrated sheep development scheme was first launched in the year 2020-21 under the supervision of sheep husbandry department with the aim to maximize wool and meat production in jammu and kashmir. Under this scheme 50% financial subsidy and free livestock under participatory mode is offered to the farmer. The scheme is launched with the objective to establish at least 1200 sheep and goat units ,and employment generation of at leat 2400 persons in the j&k valley . this scheme also promotes genetic. improvement pf livestocks by offering elite crossbred merino sheep with the aim to increase production of wool and meat.

How to apply for Integrated sheep development yojana 2026

Step 1: First of all intrested candidates are required to collect the prescribed format of application commonly called as Annexure B, F, or G depending upon the category you want to apply for.

Step 2: After getting the Annexure form applicant is supposed to fill personal, financial and livestock infrastructure details in the form. Fill the details carefully. In case of wrong details application may get rejected.

Step 3: After filling the details now attach self attested copies of all the asked documents such as id proof, infrastructure photograph, land owner papers etc.

Step 4: after completion of application form. Applicant is required to submit the completed application form to the respective sheep husbandry officer of the District for selection process.

Step 5: After the application is submitted, now wait for the selection list. The applications are approved by the authorities based on the eligibility and resource availability.
